  • Hello! Thanks for dropping by!

This is a holding page for Brewshido, a craft beer brewery located in Hidaka Village in Kochi Prefecture, Shikoku, Japan.

We are currently early in our preparation and are currently negotiating the purchase of the brewery site.

It is our hope that we can launch our brewery and pub in 2025 and are working hard to accomplish this.

Brewshido will be a brewery which specialises, but is not restricted to, Scottish beer styles and our brewery attached pub will be a warm and friendly Scottish style pub.

Brewshido comprises of two people currently, Sakino who is from Hidaka Village and grew up in the neighbourhood of the proposed brewery location, and her husband Jon, originally from Scotland who will be the head brewer.

    What does BREWSHIDO mean?

The BREW part represents the word in English for making beer.

The SHIDO section comes from the Japanese word BUSHIDO.

Jon is very interested in history and actually wrote his undergraduate dissertation about Bushido.

The word Bushido, in English translates as "The Way of the Warrior".

As such BREWSHIDO should be translated as "The Way of the Brewer".
